Technical/Functional Skills

- Implement, configure, and maintain performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications
- Manage AZURE SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
- Migrate SQL server database from on premise to Azure IAAS/PAAS Migration using Azure Site Recovery Setting up and testing HA & DR
- Monitor performance, availability, and security of databases and associated processes, and remediating issues as they arise in order to provide fast responses to front-end users
- Develop data solutions that utilize cloud-based technologies and platforms (PaaS etc.)
- Knowledge on Azure eco system tools (BLOB storage, ADF, Data Bricks)
- Hands on experience in converting design documents into workable solutions for Azure SQL.
- Understanding of performance tuning concepts on the cloud
- Experience Modernizing / migrating mainframe applications is a plus.
- Prior experience of working in Agile projects

- Experience Analyzing, building and supporting Retail application ( Merch, Supply chain , Accounting, Stores)
- Experience Modernizing / migrating mainframe applications is a plus.
- Analyzing source database hosted on mainframe environment and coming up with optimal schema/data migration strategy for the target on Azure cloud.
- Understanding business functionality of various applications and building dependency diagram for the database objects.
