JOB DETAIL

  • At minimum 3 years of experience in Ruby on Rails software development and API/web service development
  • Can design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
  • Working knowledge of HTML5/CSS, JSON/XML/CSV, and at least one front end technology (Angular, Backbone, etc.)
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Intermediate knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Experience with integrating third-party APIs and Web Services
  • Working knowledge of the general web application landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Experience with Agile development, preferably Scrum, and Unit Testing / TDD
  • Experience with Jenkins for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment

 Nice to Have's:

  • BA/BS degree or higher in a technical discipline
  • Professional programming experience using JavaScript and another programming language like PHP or Java
  • Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful service development
    Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Mongo, Hadoop, and Cassandra
