Bachelor’s/ Master's in Computer Science or related disciplines

5+ years’ experience in developing software applications including analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying and support of applications.

Must have had at least 3 big data program implementations on any Hadoop distribution.

Experience in software development of large-scale distributed systems with proven track record of delivering backend systems with complex data transformations and infrastructure.

Very strong programming skills in one or more languages, preferably Python, Scala or Java.

Proficient with software architecture (Data Modelling, Design Patterns).

Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, & distributed systems.

Deep understanding of Big data and Hadoop architecture.

Strong experience in Hadoop related technologies especially Hive and writing complex shell scripts

Proficient with Spark development, preferably using Scala or Python.

Hands on experience in working with at least one relation database (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL etc..) and one NoSQL database (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB etc…).

Hands on experience with one or multiple cloud related technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Hands on experience working with ETL tools like Apache NiFi, Airflow, Oozie, Talend, DataStage etc.

Knowledge of ELK stack, CI/CD and Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.

Excellent planning, project management, leadership and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as a team.

Delivery focused and willingness to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Take initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software.

Excellent oral and written communication.

PREFERRED

Experience with reporting/visualization tool like Tableau, PowerBI etc.

Hadoop, Spark or Cloud Certification.
