“What three technical skills will the candidate have in their background that would enable them to do this job day one?”

1. Active Server Pages  (ASP)/VBScript - This position will not be re-platforming existing code to .NET or newer technologies

2. SQL query basics- Must be able to interpret, build and modify SQL statements for INSERT/DELETE/UPDATE functions. Primarily will be using SQL Developer with Oracle Database backend, but will also be using MS Access and possibly MS SQL Server

     3. HTML and Javascript basics- Note that most code on our systems is hand-crafted without javascript frameworks

5-10+ years of enterprise code maintenance. You must have the ability to handle dozens of files backed by little to no formal business process documentation

What is the Interview process?  “after we conduct a technical interview and the candidate has the prerequisite skills, we then schedule an in person or video interview. If after those two steps the candidate is well aligned with what you’re looking for based on the job description and our discussion today, we get then get them over to you for review, what are the next steps in the interview process”
