Position: IDM/IAM Engineer role
Location: NYC NY/remote
Duration: Fulltime
Job Responsibilities
- Develops solutions to automate and orchestrate repeatable tasks for identity and access
- management.
- Continues the secure development and enhancement of custom identity management system.
- Develops APIs and configures integrations to make identity data consumable by other systems
- and services.
- Ensures identity management systems are highly available as part of the disaster recovery
- program along with the appropriate development, staging, quality assurance, and production
- environments.
- Produces professional technical specifications, software documentation, status updates,
- report job aids, and other internal/external communications.
- Manages IAM log data including configuring log sources, dashboards, rules, and reports in
- Splunk.
- Fosters close working connections with staffs and management to ensure the secure design
- and operations for WCM applications and infrastructure while acquiring and retaining
- comprehensive working knowledge of all infrastructure and related systems.
- Provides production support and administration for the identity management system and its
- components
- 5 or more years’ software development experience, particularly in web-based solutions that integrate with LDAP
- as a data source.
- 3 or more years’ experience with designing and implementing identity and access management solutions in an
- academic institution including: LDAP, multi-factor authentication, password management, role-based access
- control (RBAC), single sign-on, etc.
- Experience with administrating authentication technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, OpenLDAP,
- Shibboleth, Simple SAML ,php, Kerberos, OpenID Connect, OAuth, and federated identity management.
- Experience with building identity micro-services for consumption by other systems.
- Extensive experience managing Linux servers including Apache and configuration management with either Salt,
- Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Expert problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to make decisions independently.
- Experience with Ruby, Python, PHP, PowerShell, SQL, and/or shell scripting.
- Expert understanding of identity and access management concepts including; federation, authentication,
- authorization, access controls, access control attacks, identity and access provisioning lifecycle.
- Knowledge of secure development techniques and secure software development lifecycle.
