SKILL SET: QA Automation within Embedded Devices/ Python/ Jenkins/Bamboo

1 – 3+ years’ experience developing and automating test suites for embedded devices

2 – Strong background in test frameworks and automation tools like Jenkins, Bamboo (or similar) for embedded systems and experience with Hardware In The Loop testing

3 – Excellent programming skills in Python and capable of developing high quality, maintainable test scripts for embedded systems and knowledge of Linux, GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, Bamboo

4– Qualified candidate should have prior experience using automated Python tests to connect to Jira.

Division: Trimble Timing & Frequency

The Timing and Frequency division at Trimble develops embedded devices that provide high precision timing signals for wireline and wireless networks. We provide industry leading solutions using our products based on GNSS, PTP, NTP and other state-of-the-art protocols and technologies. We are currently working on the next generation of products to address the needs of the evolving 5G standards and industry adoption of new wireless network technologies. We are currently looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our team here. We are looking for someone who has experience creating test frameworks and hooking them up with Jira.

Required Skills & Experience:

•            3+ years’ experience developing and automating test suites for embedded devices

•            Strong background in test frameworks and automation tools like Jenkins, Bamboo (or similar) for embedded systems

•            Experience with Hardware In The Loop testing

•            Excellent programming skills in Python and capable of developing high quality, maintainable test scripts for embedded systems

•            Knowledge of Linux, GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, Bamboo

•            Degree(s) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field

Preferred Skills/Experience/Qualification:

•            Familiarity with timing protocols including 802.1AS, IEEE1588(PTP), NTP, SyncE, PTP profiles

•            Knowledge of Ethernet switching, network security, and Ethernet PHY layer devices and drivers

•            Familiarity with GNSS, timing and synchronization, wireless access and backhaul technologies and network
