Title- EPC/IMS Core Integration Engineer

Location- Menlo Park, CA (No remote Option)

 

Job Role: 

·        Manage and operate various industry standard 4G/5G packet and IMS core solutions

·        Configure and troubleshoot EPC/IMS elements including MME, PCRF, SPGW, xCSCFs for various features such as VoLTE, VoWiFi, SMS and Advanced Services call features like call waiting, caller ID etc.

·        Design and execute interoperability, performance and load scenario test cases across different core and RAN elements

·        Support troubleshooting E2E 4G/5G call scenarios with various RAN and external core elements

 

Skills Required 

·        Excellent understanding of 4G/5G standard call Flows

·        Extensive experience configuring and managing 4G/5G Cores and IMS cores

·        Experience with SIP, Diameter, and Service Based Architecture (SBA) interfaces

·        Experience with Core and UE simulation tools such as from Ixia/Viavi/Spirent (TM500, TeraVM, ixLoad, LoadCore, Landslide)

·        Strong understanding and troubleshooting skills on UE/Radio air interface and 3GPP Radio to 4G/5G Core interfaces (LTE: S1, S11, S6, 5G: N1-N5)

·        Knowledge and understanding of basic networking and Linux/OpenSystem NFVI concepts

 

Desirable Skills

·        Knowledge of 4G/5G RAN and vRAN concepts

·        Experience with Policy/Charging and QoS enforcement configurations including interfaces like Gx, Gy,SWx

·        Experience in DevOps, CI/CD automation concepts

·        Networking fundamentals and ability to configure/manage switches/router etc.

·        Experience with major NFVI platforms like RedHat OpenStack/vmWare ESXi
