Java, Enterprise Java (J2EE), RESTful APIs, Micro-service architecture, Java Design Principles / Patterns, OOPS concepts, SOLID Principles, Open API Spec (Swagger), any RDBMS, Unit Test Automation using JUnit or similar framework, Test Driven Development, BDD frameworks using Cucumber or similar tools, Performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.

Desired Skills:

AWS services like APIGW, AWS Lambda, Cloud Formation, SNS/SQL, Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, Secret Management.

Proven experience in many of the following,

o Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining applications at scale using Java [Java 8 or 11].

o Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Rest API backend services at scale using Spring framework.

o Developing software applications using relational (Postgres SQL) and NoSQL (AWS DynamoDB) databases.

o Application architectural patterns, such as MVC, Microservices, Event-driven, etc. using Java (Spring Framework)

• Demonstrated leadership on small to medium-scale projects impacting strategic priorities.

o Deploying software using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Azure Devops etc.

o Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum)

Strong understanding and/or experience in many of the following,

• Must demonstrate solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms.

o Must demonstrate solid knowledge in Datastores such as DynamoDB, Redis, Postgres.

o Experience designing well-defined Restful API’s and deploying the same in AWS APIGW.

o Hands one experience with API tools such as Swagger, Postman and Assertible

o Experience in Test driven, and behavior driven development. Hands on experience with testing tools such as Cucumber & JMeter and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
• Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment

o Message brokers such as Kinesis, Kafka, AWS SQS, AWS SNS.

o Experience writing API proxies on platforms such as Apigee Edge, AWS API Gateway or Azure API Gateway

o Debugging and maintaining software in Linux or Unix platforms.
