• Infrastructure Management (Hardware/Cloud, Middleware). Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and cluster management tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with containers such as Docker, OpenShift.
• Continuous integration/Continuous Deployment(CI/CD) pipelines and related tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Maven/Gradle, Ant, Git, Sonar Qube, Confluence , etc. (Common DevOps Platform tooling)
• Expertise in configuring Infrastructure Monitoring and codification of monitoring aspects in the code.
• Expertise Automation of Middleware configuration - by externalizing environment specific attributes and developing features to externalize the config attributes by environment
• Expertise in Test driven development of Middleware application utilizing opensource libraries like Junit, Mockito, PowerMock, MockMVC, JMeter , Vera Devops, ELK stack, Black duck , Sonar qube, smartbear,QTP, Cucumber
• Automation of Service Provisioning - by codifying the deployment infrastructure setup
• Knowledge of security best practices for systems deployed in a cloud environment
• Knowledge of the config attributes by environment.
• Expertise in at least one scripting language like Shell, PowerShell, Python.
• Knowledge in web server technologies, Micro Services, Java, networking technologies, load balancing.
• Other Tools: JIRA, GitHub, SOAP UI, Postman, Swagger, SVN, Apache POI, RallyDev, XMLSpy, , Redis/Memcache Cache, SonarQube, Selenium, Junit, Mockito, Confluence
• Experience with the AWS components like EC2, ELB, Auto Scaling, launch Configurations, S3, Glacier, Lifecycle rules for storage, VPC, Route 53, Cloud watch, Cloud Trial, RedShift, Volume and Snapshot management, SNS, IAM and Roles
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Development • Minimum 8-10 years of experience as DepOps Lead
• The DevOps Lead responsible for building a CI/CD pipeline and optimizing processes, people and tooling.
• Identifies issues in the production phase and system and implements monitoring solutions to overcome those issues.
• Accountable for designing, building, and optimizing automation systems that help to execute business, web and data infrastructure platforms.
• Develops self-service solutions to deliver software with excellent quality and speed. They are also involved in designing and developing scaling strategies, automation scripts, and solutions to implement, streamline, and executing the software.
• Involved in creating technology infrastructure, automation tools, and maintaining configuration management.
• Accountable for conducting training sessions to the team, and other groups regarding how to build processes wherein in the dependencies are showcased in the code. They also train development department personnel about reusable tools and patterns.
• Management and development of continuous integration and deployment solutions across various sites
• Identifies bottlenecks in coding development and deployment processes .
• Identify areas of improvement within the platform and build a solution to automate monitoring solutions for the platform, technology and constant innovations to drive efficiencies
• Building coding standardizations and automating processes for the organization
• Assist with system architecture design to ensure our systems are reliable, highly available and secure.
• Responsible for ensuring any production deployable code has all the necessary Alerts, necessary logging needed to debugging and work with operations to update runbook.
