·  Have a DBA mindset with strong data engineering skills also

·  Understand the complexities of the database engine

·  Be comfortable with low level troubleshooting, in the depths of the DB

·  Proficient in database tuning (at the initialization point)

·  Understand the complexities of advanced techniques – e.g. table partitioning

·  Help guide on / create SoP around database errors

• Log location
• Extract data from logs
• Pin point issues that are happening at the database engine layer

·  Understand how we can segregate data in a schematic way and do so efficiently

·  Help with D/R and how this can be best provided

·  Support DE team to help with tuning of “heavy hitting” code

·  Support upgrade initiatives and help with post upgrade steps
