Azure, Postgres, Cloud development, Data modeling

8+ years DW/BI development experience on Azure cloud platform

Experience in Cloud platform - Azure eco-system.

Data Engineering/Development experience with PostgreSQL

Strong development hands on background in creating pipelines, data flows and complex data transformations and manipulations using ADF and Pyspark with Databricks

Hands on experience prepare complex SQL views, stored procs in azure SQL DW (Synapse) and Azure SQL DB

Experience working with different data storage options including Azure BLOB storage , ADLS Gen 2 and Delta Lake etc.

Experience with Azure Data Factory in building pipelines

Hands on experience in using the azure data copy and data flow activities

Teradata working experience is plus

Past working experience on a fast paced and agile environment

Perform ongoing monitoring, automation and refinement of data engineering solutions

Experience working with an on-shore / off-shore model

Build and meet project timelines and manage delivery commitments with proper communication to management

Work with business teams and technical analysts to understand business requirements.

Determine how to leverage technology to create solutions that satisfy the business requirements.

Serve as a technical resource for business teams to help define, estimate, and propose solutions for business opportunities.

Create architecture and technical design documents to communicate solutions that will be implemented by the development team.

Develop proofs-of-concept and prototypes to help illustrate approaches to technology and business problems.

Prepare visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows.

Work with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation of solution.

Present solutions to clients, project teams, and other stakeholders adapting style to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to define service delivery landscape

Work in an ambiguous, large and complex organization on tight timelines with DBA/platform admin team to ensure set-up of environment
