JOB DETAIL

  • Work with the business, functional, and technical teams to define, document, educate, implement, and support applications to meet business objectives.
  • Help define standard methods and processes for system integration, development, testing, and deployment and ensure adoption and use of those standards.
  • Create detailed architectural specifications to document the architecture decisions and communicate the architecture to designers, developers and contractors in a way that is directly actionable, clear and unambiguous.
  • Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.
  • Review, advise and design standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs vs. benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.
  • Develop and document the framework for integration and implementation of changes to the application landscape.
  • Provide technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate. Track industry trends and maintain knowledge of new technologies to better serve the application architecture needs.
  • Collaborates with Enterprise and Solution Architect Teams to review solution design, any new implementation or introduction of new technology to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provides technical leadership throughout the project life-cycle.
  • Recommends necessary changes in the existing logistics applications to ensure efficient functionality and cost savings.
  • Provides technical expertise in the areas of warehouse management, transportation management, and labor management solutions.
  • Assists in preparing the long term strategic plans and implements them in the logistics architecture.
  • Assists in estimating the size and scope of projects on the logistics roadmap.
  • Identifies technical risks upfront and bring it to the attention of management.

 

Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal team members as well as business stakeholders
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a software developer, including 6+ years’ experience working as a Senior or Lead Developer and/or System Analyst 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects leveraging SDLC methodologies (familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile).
  • Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms
  • Exposure to Oracle PL/SQL development, Java, as well as system administration
  • Experience with Application Performance Monitoring & Management tools such as AppDynamics, ExtraHop, etc.
  • Strong problem solving characteristics with the ability to think out of the box
  • Must be able to work with others in a collaborative fashion
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with warehouse management solutions such as Aptean-Catalyst, Red Prairie, Manhattan, SAP, etc.
  • 2+ years of DevSecOps experience – this includes unit testing, CI/CD (Jenkins is preferred), security testing, performance load testing and functional test automation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related
