These are six-month contracts with the potential to extend or convert! The initial project will be setting up the Spinnaker plugins, which will require extensive microservices experience and strong java development experience. They would handle the initial plugins and construct deployment pipelines for software that deploys to dozens of environments worldwide.
After the initial plugins are built, they will own Spinnaker and work with the team that owns all changes to Zendesk software! This would include feature management, infrastructure for code changes, and new tools. They would have the opportunity to work with Scala and Golang as some of the new functionality will be built in both languages. The managers are hoping these contractors will be long-term employees and have a significant impact on this org!
