The Senior Test Automation Engineer will design, develop and maintain Selenium automated test scripts based on manual test cases, functional requirements, or existing functionality of the system. These automated tests are to be developed in keeping with the established automation framework. Analyze test results and report any issues or defects found to responsible QA, development or business unit.

The Senior Test Automation Engineer is responsible for the coordination, planning, implementation, maintenance, and compliance of activities related to quality test automation processes and systems. Make recommendations to exiting standards, methods, and procedures for quality programs and audits.  Review company processes and procedures to contribute quality assurance requirements and considerations.

The Senior Test Automation Engineer works on application initiatives of a diverse nature and scope and frequently interacts with business owners, product owners, managers, and senior management.

•             Design and develop software test scripts in Selenium, run scripts in Selenium Grid and report on test results in an accurate and agreed upon format to development team, Product Owners, Business Owners and management.

•             Translate results into actionable tasks and work with QA Analysts to generate failure results (bugs) in the ticket tracking system with fully detailed reproduction steps.

•             Test software and execution of code in various IT environments and across multiple devices (phone, tablet, desktop, varying screen sizes).

•             Identify, recommend, and implement new policies or procedures to ensure the best quality processes and programs, which meet all company and customer needs and requirements

Associate Degree in any IT field or equivalent work experience.

3 years’ experience in Test Automation scripting                                       

•             Experience scripting automated tests in Selenium.

•             Experience with Selenium Grid and running automation at scale.

•             Experience testing web applications on multiple devices and browsers.

•             Experience creating test cases from business and technical requirements.

•             Display empathy, understanding and patience with employees and external customers

•             Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries
