Our Client is looking for SAP ABAP with BW in Houston, TX.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Demonstrates strong ABAP coding skills, along with data extraction competencies.

Demonstrates competency in infospoke and APD.

Get knowledge transfer of SAP BW and BOBJ to understand the current functionality.

Gather and document requirements from Accounting team for Automation project.

Create design for Automation project request, which includes combining data from multiple data sources (SAP and non-SAP).

Including performance tuning of the design which will handle large volume of data

Including presentation of design to technical team

Perform integration of development within BW and BOBJ environments.

Work with end users to iteratively test an automated solution.

Possibly assist with providing production support of the SAP BW and BOBJ applications.

Willingness and co-operation in working in a fast-paced environment.

Work effectively in a team environment. Develop strong working relationship with the business team and individuals at all levels of NRG, such as other IT groups, Operations, and Project Management team.

Communicate status and escalate issues as early in the process as possible.

Use analytics skills to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.

Ability to switch between multiple tasks and work them in parallel.

Willingness to take responsibility for the tasks that are assigned

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant business discipline from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.

 

Experience:

IT experience including

12+ years of experience in IT development

7+ years of experience in ABAP

5+ years of experience in BOBJ development (version 4.2 or higher)

5+ years of experience in BW (front-end and back-end) (version 7.x)

5+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse environment

2+ years of development work in a de-regulated utilities business in Texas is a plus

 

Additional skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in order interact with the business team, SME, production support lead, and other team members.

Flexibility, dedication, and team-spirit is a must
