• Senior level Linux System Administration skills, 5-10 years on Red Hat 6 and 7 (or Centos or another RedHat fork) as well as a superior knowledge of network, disk, and other infrastructure technologies. Experience with RH/Centos 8 preferred.
• Advanced OS debugging and tuning skills on distributed clustered systems OS and networking.
• Superior knowledge of hardware setup, debugging and failure resolution.
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Cloud technology and Big Data infrastructure.
• Scripting for DevOPs automation. Shell, Perl, Python or other popular languages. Familiarity with other languages like R, Java, HTTP, etc. is a plus. Experience with database infrastructure debugging and performance is also a plus.
• Working knowledge of OS installation automation using kickstart and post-installation scripting.
• Automation technology experience with Ansible.
• Linux and Unix security patching and OS updating.
• Working knowledge of VMware from a Linux SA perspective such as host setup and maintenance.
• Effective written and oral communication skills. The position entails working with a global team, various management levels, business stakeholders, Service Delivery and Project managers, other subject matter experts and vendor engineers. It also includes writing documentation for engineered solutions and mentoring junior members of the team.
• This person will be part of a team effort and will need to work in the windows provided by the stakeholder to try and isolate problems areas out of normal business hours.
• Organization skills. The position would include planning involving technical and planning aspects for  our change approval process.
• Experience with Cisco UCS, HP-UX, and Oracle OLVM preferred..
