5+ years of experience in business intelligence engineering, modeling, data warehousing, and transformation of large-scale data sources
Excellent query skills and SQL experience
Advanced skills in BI tools like Tableau, Quicksight, or similar BI tools
Experience with data warehousing, data lake, and ETL tools (e.g., Athena, Redshift)
Experience with operational, process, and performance improvement projects
Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, metric dashboards, and analyses to enable Variant team members to self-service their reporting and analytic needs
Create management dashboards that ensure accurate and robust reporting across key business/project/initiative metrics
Write queries to retrieve and analyze from data tables (ex. Redshift, Athena, MySQL).
Scope, build and own technical data processes to help the business scale
Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish including project management, gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem-solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
Collaborate with finance, business, and Tech to gather metrics requirements.
Retrieve, analyze and transform data using a broad set of AWS technologies.
Inform business plans through analytical and strategic insights.
Estimate the impact of different strategies and scenarios.
Develop in-depth knowledge of all relevant data sources, business intelligence technologies, and analytical tools
Advise and answer ad-hoc strategic requests for analysis to support top management
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on providing solutions and delivering results
Lead by example and provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to the wider business analysis team and associated project teams
