- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of the container environment
- Review existing capacity and demand forecast to document scaling needs
- Support the deployment of new Kubernetes resources and projects
- Assist with new operators into the container environment at the direction of Engineering
- Deploy updates and new features into the pre-production and production environments
- Manage and resolve incidents and problems related to the virtualization platform
- At least 5 years’ experience with Linux based operating systems , managing and supporting VMWare vCenter and ESXi
- Working Knowledge of Kubernetes infrastructure and operations
- Ability to develop scripts to automate common tasks
- Ability to support basic administrative tasks in Windows and Linux systems
- Understanding of high-level concepts across network, storage, and database technologies
- Well-practiced troubleshooting methodology
- Ability to maintain calm and patient attitude under pressure
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently
- Ability to communicate design, installation, and support of a solution through documentation
- Ability to translate and present complicated technical concepts to a less-technical audience.
- Strong verbal communication across audiences (such as technical coworkers, end users, and management)
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to attain new technical skills and share knowledge with teammates
- 2 years’ experience with Kubernetes platform or CKA certification
