Providetechnical instruction/assistance on how to use automated application and reporthealth data via HL7 messaging. Investigates reported system malfunctions anddocument findings (solve user errors). Communicates with appropriate staff onidentified malfunctions and follows through to find solutions. Providestraining to end users. Monitors incoming data messages, analyzes HL7 and otherdata sources for errors, and provides feedback to reporting entities withspecific information on how to correct HL7 segments, LOINC and SNOMED codes.
Education/Knowledge/Abilities/Skills
Bachelor’sdegree in Business Administration, Information Technology/Computer Science or 2years of related technical and business experience.
1. Experience(current within the last year) as an IT Business Systems Analyst/InformaticsSpecialist
2. Experiencein providing direct technical and customer support via phone and email;creating accounts, providing help with system functions and data exchange
3. Experiencein the use and analysis of HL7, LOINC, SNOMED and other coding schemas used forhealth data
4. Experienceworking with business clients and technical staff to develop businessrequirements for computer application modifications.
5. Experiencein assisting with data migration, server hardware and softwareinstallation/updates and testing
6. Experiencein creating methods to monitor systemperformance and data quality
7. Experiencein developing, supporting and maintaining data exchange technology andprocesses
8. Experiencein investigating system malfunctions, analyzing and responding to system errormessages to determine root cause and required actions to correct
9. Experiencein coordinating data exchange communication between data submitters, theirtechnology vendors,and the system receiving that data
10. Experiencein working in collaborative teams using skills such as conflict resolution,flexibility, empathy and teamwork.
11. Experiencewith HIPAA Transaction requirements and working with protected heatlhinformation
12. Strongproblem solving skills to improve the technology and processes to meetobjectives..
13. Ableto effectively communicate complex information accurately and clearly
14. Experiencein conveying users perspective to technical people in technical language andtechnical perspective to users in non-technical language
15. Bachelor’sdegree in Business Administration, Information Technology/Computer Science or 2years of related technical and business experience
16. Proficientin speaking and writing the English language
