We are seeking a Solr lead engineer to administer/scale our critical Solr clusters and related services that go with it. This role focuses primarily on provisioning, ongoing capacity planning, monitoring, management of Solr clusters and performance enhancement of applications that runs on Solr. 
Key Qualifications: 
• Deep understanding of Solr and other search technologies
• Able to support various clients connected to Solr clusters
• Understanding and troubleshooting experiences with problematic search queries
• Installation and best practice experience of large Solr cluster implementation
• Understanding of DR, backups and restore of critical data in Solr environment
• Understanding of various indexing methods and ability if modify to meet required load and SLA
• Experience in implementing monitoring services needed for easy management of Solr clusters and 
getting preemptive alerts to avoid serve failure. 
Job Description: 
•    Should have hands on experience in installing/ configuring larger Solr clusters with Solr 8.x upwards 
•    Excellent problem resolution skills related to Search query , Solr modules and interaction with Solr clients and other services 
•    Hands on experience as Linux administrator and understanding of various kernel parameters tuning 
•    Ability of patch, upgrade and resolve security vulnerabilities in Solr clusters
• Strong development/automation skills. Must be very comfortable with reading and writing Python and Java code.
• Overall 10+ years with at least 5+ years of Solr experience in large scale
• Tools-first mindset. You build tools for yourself and others to increase efficiency and to make 
hard or repetitive tasks easy and quick.
• Organized, focused on building, improving, resolving and delivering. • Good communicator in and across teams, taking the lead. 
Education: 
Bachelors or Master Degree in Computer Science or similar technical degree
