As a Senior BI Developer, you will provide proactive, deep insights into the KPIs and metrics driving the Finance, Engineering, and IT business partners on a daily/weekly/monthly cadence. The right candidate will be passionate about working with huge datasets and should be someone who loves to bring data together to answer complex business questions that deepen our understanding of our business drivers, especially revenue and customers. Over time, you will support the development of reporting models and work closely with our teams to implement solutions designed to improve our forecasting and planning processes, eliminating manual effort in developing bottoms-up forecasting.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver metrics, reporting platforms and analytical models critical for tracking and managing the business.
- Perform business analysis to gather required BI system requirements
- Develop and implement interactive analytic reports and dashboards using PowerBi.
- Plan and implement data models that will support proper representation of complex BI solutions.
- Deal with data transformation and preparation before they are presented in reports and dashboards. This may include data integration tools embedded within Power BI tools and external tools.Responsible for planning, designing, developing, monitoring, and troubleshooting BI solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals.
- Generate automated, repeatable, and stable processes to support data load, data validation, and data synchronizations
Minimum Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience working with large data sets plus deep experience in statistical analysis, advanced modeling techniques, data transformations, data mining and business analysis.
- Outstanding analytical modeling skills.
- Understands business strategy, provides consultative business analysis, and leverages technical skills to create insightful, effective BI solutions.
- Hands-on experience in SQL, Excel, data mining, and data visualization software (Power BI )
- Ability to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models
- Hands-on experience in Connecting to multiple data sources and importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence
- Proven track record of strong interpersonal, communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate and influence both business and technical teams on the architectural direction.
Preferred Requirements:
- Fluent understanding and ability to write, maintain and troubleshoot complex SQL queries both in SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Working experience with Oracle E-Business Suite ERP system.
- Working experience with large Oracle and SQL databases.
- Working experience with large data warehouses like Hadoop, Redshift, Azure Data Lake.
- Working Experience in Talend, R, Power Query (M Data query language) and/or Python (data extraction, data transformations, data manipulation, and analysis platforms).
