Expert Level SQL, PL/PGSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
Ability to efficiently write database code without compromising data quality, privacy or security.
Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics and isolation levels
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to evaluate alternative solutions and/or workarounds.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
12+ years of professional experience as a Oracle, Postgres code development and migrations.
In depth knowledge of the PostgreSQL architecture and application data lifecycle management.
Experience in implementing Security Guidelines of Postgres STIG, testing, and other vulnerability remediation.
Experience in working closely with the application teams to resolve any performance related issues.
Measure database performance and troubleshoot complex database issues, I/O bottlenecks and SQL Tuning.
Proven experience in working in a mission critical environment in a multi-terabyte database platform.
Working knowledge of Database Security mechanism, data encryption, obfuscation, auditing using tools.
Experience with automation using Python, Ansible, etc.
