The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Client is a multidimensional and dynamic position covering data, process, and technology within the Business Intelligence domain that would support Global Service Data Analytics Project. The ideal candidate serves as a point person for the project representing IES team participating in various activities such as gathering detail requirements from current reports and dashboards, documenting technical specification, participating in EDP (Enterprise Data Platform) design, development and testing of Dashboards in the new environment. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities in communication and presentation to leadership and colleagues, ability to influence, without direct supervision.
- Participate in Global Service Analytics Project as a Business Analyst representing IES Data and Analytic team.
- Document current IES Current Analytics Land Scape – Data, Business Logic, Current Reports, Dashboards, Usage and Security
- Work with team to gather and consolidate all requirements and technical specification, provide this to the core project team.
- Participate in EDP Design and build Out and migration of reports to new environment.
- Responsible for getting IES Priority Power BI Dashboards and Reports developed
- Responsible for testing and validation of the Dashboards and Reports
- Collaborate with Project Team, IES Data Analytics team and Business for successful development and implementation of Power BI Dashboards on EDP platform.
- Ability to understand and document complex business and data management processes for tech transfer and/or knowledge base building.
- Conduct Training and provide extensive documentation of new solution
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in the Enterprise Data Warehouse and/or AWS Data Lake environment
- 5+ years of experience in delivering Business Intelligence solutions, fluent in ETL technology, solid BI technology background ex. Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos
- Proficient in one or more reporting tools and technologies: Power BI, Business Objects or Cognos
- 5+ years project management experience, displaying skills that highlight ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize needs.
- 4 – 6 years of experience working with SQL and familiarity/experience with Oracle, MS SQL, no SQL databases.
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud data integration with Apache Spark, Databricks, EMR, Glue, Kafka, Kinesis, and Lambda in S3, Redshift would be preferred.
- Management, manipulation and analysis of large data sets from various source systems
- Ability to assess, balance and articulate business data needs vs. any system constraints and identify innovative solutions as workarounds
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrate presentation and collaboration skills, with ability to communicate all aspects of the process with peers and data consumers
- Able to articulate information, findings and complex data solutions concisely and with clarity at senior management levels
- Understanding of transactional data & flows across systems, data mapping and hierarchy concepts, and management reporting
- Exposure/experience with IT infrastructure, IT application technologies, frameworks and data management background, preferred
- Independent worker and as a member of a cross-functional team
- Can mentor team members, working collaboratively on initiatives, elevating the final deliverable above intended expectations
