SQL Server DBA Responsibilities:
•Administer, maintain and utilize policies and procedures for ensuring the security, and integrity of the databases.
•Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other issues that arise.
•Support the SQL Server environment.
•Ensure changes and enhancements, interact efficiently with the database developers.
•Monitor database performance and analyze for performance optimization opportunities.
•Create/Implement database maintenance plans to ensure data integrity.
•Manage the backup and recovery process.
•Works well with others on the team and has better than average written and oral communication skills

Day to day activities/skills needed:
Resource will provide day-to-day support for BSA Database requests as well as participate in a on-call rotation with the rest of the team. This individuals will also work on various other projects which may include AWS, Azure platforms

Skills/Experience:
5 years experience

•*******AWS, Azure and/or powershell experience********* (most important)
•Move data from one server to another – copy / restore
•Complete security requests – Understand Windows and SQL server security concepts.
•Manage DBA owned maintenance jobs – Index, DBCC, Backups, etc
•Troubleshoot and resolve user and database issues to ensure databases maintain service level requirements.
•Windows Failover Clustering concepts.
•Basic Windows Server administration in order to maintain SQL services
•Proactively maintain AlwaysOn replication
•Proactively monitor and adjust storage
•Experience with ServiceNow a plus
