Work as part of a small, agile team to design and implement new features and technologies in a data pipeline application. As a senior Java developer, you will write programs to extract, interpret, and synthesize an extremely diverse set of diagnostic lab data - with the goal to standardize this data, making it machine readable, interoperable, and more discoverable and accessible. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of Java and SQL programming and will have some exposure to machine learning concepts.
• Designing and developing java applications for medical entity extraction and text mining
• Design Database tables and SQL queries
• Perform data analysis to extract patterns
• Collaborate with data scientist and data engineers to define processes
• Occasionally assist QA and Testing teams
Requirements
• Proficient in Java
• Experience in designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable data pipeline in Java
• Expertise with relational databases
• Healthcare domain knowledge
• Strong software engineering skills
• Basic familiarity with python programming
