JOB DETAIL

We are looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join the UX team with our client. The User Experience Designer is a talented practitioner responsible for the design and deliver of exceptional interaction and visual designs.  This individual must employ a user-centered design methodology to create exceptional experiences for our customers.  The User Experience Designer works closely with user experience team members, product strategist and stakeholders to understand business goals and translate those goals into designs that enhance the overall end-user experience.

The position is that of a Senior User Experience Designer that works in a multidisciplinary environment, and in a collaborative fashion, on user experience design activities throughout the software development lifecycle, often with numerous design initiatives occurring concurrently.

This individual contributes to the design of the overall look and feel of the interactive user interfaces across multiple products and platforms. The UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and to ensure a great user experience.

  • Contributes to the experience design of interactive user interfaces across multiple products and platforms.
  • Simplifies and translates complex concepts into intuitive interactions, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and other forms of visual representation that leads to intuitive user experiences.
  • Assist in identifying design problems and devising solutions that help users easily solve problems.
  • Assist in applying custom application controls and iconography.
  • Assist in creating rapid prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers.
  • Contribute in building a user experience pattern library, to maintain consistency in behaviors across multiple products.
  • Work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications, creating detailed specification of visual designs to communicate with developers.
  • Participates in the definition of the user-centered design methodology.
  • Performs quality assurance reviews of developed pages to ensure adherence to specification.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.
  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation.
  • Undergraduate (e. g., Bachelor's degree) in graphic design, interactive design, information architecture or related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a User Experience Designer for web and mobile user interfaces.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Axure, Figma and Adobe CS is required to apply.
  • Experience designing Enterprise level software.
  • Expertise in standard UX software including Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Figma, Nero, Trello, Rally, and Balsamiq is a must. Basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MS Visio skills are required.
  • Skilled practitioner with expertise in the design, production and presentation of user interface designs that support the needs of the customer.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate abstract concepts to audiences that are not skilled in a UX discipline.
  • Experience with user-centered design patterns and methodologies.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, complexity, and passion for challenges.
  • Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively.
  • Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with team members and stakeholders.
  • Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
  • Ability to successfully juggle multiple projects and competing priorities.
