·        Proficient with end-to-end development: specify, develop, test, deploy and document.

·        Maintain and enhance existing applications, websites and web servers for high-availability.

·        Work closely with the Linux and Windows administrative groups when designing and deploying new applications.

·        Interface with different departments within the organization when it comes to new deployments.

·        Maintain a high level of systems security and integrity within the development environment.

·        Maintain the development goal of continuing to use new technologies to enhance existing services and build new offerings.

·        Responsible for clearly articulating internet and intranet related projects.

·        Operate self-sufficiently and ability to hit the ground running.

·        Perform as a subject matter expert for anything related to Bay Alarm technologies.

·        Provides no formal supervisory direction to others.

·        Frequent sitting, talking, listening, and working at a computer.

·        Occasional standing, walking and traveling.

·        Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

·        Motor vehicle driving vision and computer usage vision required.

·        Noise level is usually moderate.

·        Make decisions independently requiring interpretation typically made within the confines of plans and objectives established by management.

·        Ability to formulate and express thoughts in a coherent and clear manner.

·        5-7 years of experience as an Application Developer required.

·        BS/MS Computer Science (or equivalent) preferred

·          Ability to build and maintain web applications to support internal and external customers.

·        Flexible and capable of handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with grace and diplomacy.

·        Willingness to take on new tasks, as requested.

·        Ability to communicate with both non-technical and technical staff; ability to work with non-technical staff to determine needs and reach the optimum solution to satisfy objectives.

·        Emphasis on PHP 7.x and LAMP stack back ends.

·        Proficient in client side JavaScript application programing. 

·        Experience developing native & hybrid mobile applications; iOS, Android, Cordova.

·        Experience with JavaScript frameworks preferred; React, Dojo, Ionic.

·        Experience accessing REST and/or SOAP web services.

·        Comfortable with AJAX, HTML, CSS, XML.

·        Experience using Subversion source control.

·        Experience with relational database design and development is a plus; MySQL, MSSQL, Sybase ASE.

·        Must have experience with large scale, enterprise web application design and development.

·        LINUX system admin skills a plus.
