- Develop and administer databases, and work with business stakeholders to define conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Implement physical data models and maintain the data dictionary
- Upgrade and maintain various application databases to support requirement changes
- Monitor database operations to ensure properly set configuration options
- Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to database environments
- Establish and implement database policies, procedures, and standards and ensure their conformance with information systems objectives
- Lead or participate in the development of feasibility studies, designs, and operations support plans
- Develop technical requirements and identify solutions to meet the technical requirements
- Use agile and traditional data modeling techniques to elaborate and clarify project requirements
- Proactively report on progress, risks, and issues
- Identify relevant data standards and federal regulatory requirements; configure the database to comply with those requirements
- Develop and review project documentation
- Maintain system knowledge base
- Support the installation and testing of database services
- Restore database and application operations under planned or unplanned service disruption
- Design and implement reports and dashboards using tools like SSRS, Tableau, etc.
- Knowledge of Azure functions and APIs
- Extensive experience working with database systems - data modeling, data warehousing, database development, database management, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of MS SQL Server database, T-SQL and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) for ETL
- Creativity with an eye for developing new and innovative solutions
- Excellent organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Familiarity and experience with security planning and security control implementation as it relates to secure database operations
- Established track record in relational database management systems and business intelligence technical administration
- Extensive problem identification and analytical skills
- Ability to contribute to project planning and management as one member of a small, highly skilled, self-directed team
- Ability to tailor project technical and operations management templates as required
- Cloud certifications- Cloud Solution Architect
* 10+ years of US experience
* Experience programming in Python (or other language)
* Experience with design and strategy in addition to having the hands-on technical expertise
* IaC
* Experience implementing solutions to the cloud (Azure preferred, but AWS and GCP would be ok too)
* ITIL Cert highly preferred
