Job Overview :

- Senior Database Engineer will be involved in the project and delivery, work on client data starting from collection phase to validation to final integration of data with our system.

- Work on design and development of database products that are aligned with market, business and technology roadmap and strategy.

- Develop, document, communicate and track the schedules, plans, and risks for database products and components.

- Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, deadlocks, performance tuning & query optimization. Execute as per the business plan.

Job Responsibilities :
- Work for a sustained duration (2- 3 months) on large scale business problem involving software product in the area of cost, operations and supply chain.
- Design, write, test, and debug database stored procedures and complex queries to extract, calculate or manipulate information using SQL-Server 2008, 2012 & 2014 database.
- Adhere to the time-lines set for delivery items, for different Product release and Customer releases.
- Provide technical support for the production issues resulting from new deployments, analyzing business reported issues, determining the root causes, and implementing fixes to prevent future outages.
- Write high level and low level design documents; Conduct reviews with application development and product management teams.
- Mentor and train database team members to perform assigned tasks efficiently without quality issues, perform code review and be accountable for the productivity, quality, timeliness of self and team members.
- Be a part of cross-functional delivery team and Identify risk areas, issues which can delay deliverable and communicate or escalate ahead of time.
- Communicate plans, milestones and their status on a weekly basis with managers and other stakeholders.
- Ability to organize and plan work independently.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
- Communicate with cross functional teams to understand customer, sales focus and align deliverables.
