The RPA Developer is responsible for the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software robots that perform operational business processes. The developer will be a member of the RPA Center of Excellence team where RPA projects are prioritized and managed in partnership with the Process Improvement team. Delivering efficiency through automation with the primary objective of time savings is the key intended outcome of completed projects.
- Deploy RPA components including bots, development tools, code repositories, and logging tools.
- Deliver high-quality, thoroughly tested code per business requirements provided by the Process Improvement Analyst.
- Manage development delivery timeline and provide regular status updates on progress of development.
- Responsible for the quality, sustainability, and scalability of RPA output.
- Manage defect and resolution response. Report and document any changes to the workflow as a result. Responsible for participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle.
- Update and maintain Developer Standards around RPA best practices.
- Create and maintain RPA technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot automation-related issues reported by the business as first point of contact.
- Investigate and document better practices/alternative solutions that could be used in future development.
- Participate as a technical subject matter expert in the RPA Center of Excellence.
- Provide technical guidance to Process Improvement Analyst during process design.
- Ensure proper bot performance and memory usage daily.
- Proactively monitor and update expiring bot credentials and access to ensure limited service disruption to the business.
- Support deployments or troubleshoot production issues outside of work hours, as-needed.
- Collaborate with development team members to ensure proper implementation and integration of the solutions.
- Mentor and guide peers via code reviews, dev sessions, and pair-programming.
- Maintain relationships with partners and internal customers to determine business requirements.
- Stay current with automation technologies and develop prototypes the demonstrate creative ways of applying automation tools.
- Champion the use of Agile principles and practices to build a culture of trust, collaboration, continuous improvement, and predictable delivery within the team.
- Responsible for maintenance, upgrades, and version control of the UIPath tool and components.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and related VBA programming.
- Excellent programing and software development background preferred.
- Prior experience with UIPATH RPA tool and experience in application or implementation support domain.
- Must be knowledgeable in maintaining documentation, code migration between environments and bug fixing
- Must be a proactive problem solver, strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex requirements and define technical/functional advanced solutions.
- Excellent experience in translating business requirements into RPA capabilities and solutions
- Excellent experience in objectively evaluating RPA solutions and making recommendations
- Experience in Agile Methodologies
- Working knowledge of banking systems.
- Working knowledge of retail banking business processes and terminology.
