Systems Management tools (SCCM, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
Responsibilities
Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain Windows and other server environments.
Install new software releases, perform systems upgrades, evaluate and install patches.
Ensure that the data center/cloud environment operates efficiently & are recoverable in case of a disaster or outage.
Secure/maintain/continually improve a 24x7 infrastructure environment to run the company’s software & computing systems.
Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and applications logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
Analyze & optimize on-premises and cloud workloads.
Perform daily back-up operations of file systems and system data.
Monitor and implement improvements to information security tools and systems to continue to add protections and defense for the firm’s infrastructure, systems, and data.
Migrate systems and applications to SaaS, PaaS and IaaS cloud providers.
Participate in end-to-end delivery of technology projects including managing scope, quality, and schedule.
Troubleshoot and resolve system problems and emergencies.
Implement, maintain, and test disaster recovery for corporate computing environment.
Maintains contemporary knowledge of relevant, state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems.
Perform after-hours and weekend changes, maintenance, and deployments as necessary.
Resolution of incidents and requests in IT Service Management platform
Document and diagram systems and processes
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Windows server configuration and management.
3+ years of experience in VMWare vSphere, vCenter, ESX, and related systems.
Strong experience in any systems management tools (such as SCCM, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, etc.).
Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, etc.
Some experience with Citrix XenApp/Xen Desktop remote access technology and related systems is highly desirable.
Some experience with IAM tools & protocols (such as Okta, ADFS, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM, etc.).
Experience with Cloud solutions like Office365, Exchange Online, Microsoft Azure, Intune, etc. is highly desirable.
Experience with Privileged Access Management systems.
Strong working knowledge of file systems and file system management (e.g. CIFS/SMB, NFS).
Strong technical troubleshooting and resolution skills.
Knowledge of DevOps concepts and security practices.
Knowledge of communications devices and protocols.
Knowledge of advanced management and monitoring tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
Understanding of common ITSM processes (i.e. incident, request, change, and problem).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people.
