Description:
- Install, upgrade, maintain and troubleshoot Redhat Linux and Solaris based servers
- Working experience with managing VMware virtual and container infrastructure
- Working experience with managing data center, public cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.), private cloud (openstack, cloud stack, etc.) environments.
- Working experience with configuration management and automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
- Working experience with automation OS installation and patching (Kickstart, Jumpstart, Cobbler, Redhat Satelite, etc.)
- Working experience with managing NIS, DNS, DHCP, FTP, NFS, AUTOFS, WEB and Database environments
- Setup and maintain monitoring software (Solarwinds, Nagios)
- Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python and Perl scripting
- Support local and remote engineering teams with UNIX / Linux related issues & escalations
- Experience with storage administration (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, SAN, etc.) preferably NetApp
- Participate in organizational initiatives and contribute in automation efforts
- Requires on-call support during afterhours and weekends
- May require occasional travel to remote/international sites
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of experience with UNIX / Linux System Administration
- Storage administration experience
- VMWare, Docker and Kubernetes administration experience
- Public and Private cloud system administration experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Red Hat and Solaris Certifications
- Customer Service Experience
