Client have a requirement for a SQL DBA contractor in Austin TX for onsite upgrade project. Listed below are the key skills and responsibilities.

-              8-10 years exp.

-              Hands-On experience in Microsoft SQL Server Installation, configuration, migration, performance tuning, maintenance, and

               Database Administration on Production Servers

-              Worked on multiple SQL server upgrades on various platforms including Windows, Linux and others.

-              Troubleshooting capabilities of MS SQL Servers from Ver 2000 to 2017 in both Physical and Virtual environments.

-              Performed multiple upgrades (at least 3 to 4) from old version to latest releases.

-              Experienced with SQL server administration with maintenance, backup , recovery, SSIS packages, user/profile administration.

-              Implemented various topologies in SQL server space including Clustering and High Availability Architectures.

-              Expertise in Analysis, designing and implementing Backup/Restore and Disaster recovery strategies and solutions.

-              Experienced in cloning, log shipping, archiving in SQL servers.

-              Experience working with support vendors, application owners, infrastructure teams.

- -            Is well organized and focused and has good communication skills.

-              Knows Windows environment better for SQLserver compliance.

-              Worked in various topologies including clustering and high availability.

-              Ready for a F2F interview after an initial phone screening.

-              Self driven

-              Microsoft Certified Database Administrator is a plus
