Still targeting 12-15+ years of experience with it being a lead position, and I do need someone who is technical and has had a development background. This is not the “normal” QA Analyst position, so the manager does not want to see those types of candidates. Yes, this is 100% remote, but they seem to be only entertaining the candidates who are close to the NJ area.

Requirements: 

·         I am looking for a QA Analyst who has worked more closely with technical teams.  There are no test case, no user stories, no standard Agile QA work flow.  We’re looking for quality analysts with more coordination and integration between technical teams.  A familiarity of technical work flow.  For example, does the calling source get what is requested?  Is it correct?  Is it complete?  What are the error conditions?  Are they documented, Who is utilizing/calling the integration, etc.?  I need someone who takes this approach and goes. 

·         The QA Lead understands business requirements, defines tests suites, manually validates functionality, develops automated test cases and communicates quality metrics effectively to ensure the high quality

·         Define and document detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test strategies, plans and test cases for projects using a maturity level framework supporting QA best practices, and procedures ensuring alignment with business defined acceptance criteria understanding the parameters for evaluation.

·         Define and coordinate release management for software releases to ensure release notes are published, systems are versioned, smoke tested are successful, functional and release plans are in place including rollback plans if required.

·         Test functionality and create test scripts

·         Strong experience setting up test data in the backend (technical SQL background needed)

·         Work with offshore and lead some testing efforts

·         Business Analysis Skills a strong plus

·         Facilitates creating more robust automated testing solutions and providing subject matter expertise on best practices, processes while working in a collaborative and team oriented environment.

·         Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.

·         Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

·         Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.

·         Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.

·         Extensive experience SQL and scripting.

·         Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

·         Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.

·         Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for various components including user interfaces and APIs
