- e.g. You go to doctor, they take a scan, after that everything is digital – scan comes to us through order pipeline and goes to cloud infrastructure, from there goes to queue where a series of robots are waiting for crowns to be manufactured; manufacture to ship is completely automated
- AWS, Microservices, Lambda/serverless
- At least 2: Java, Python OR Scala (built on top of Java), NodeJS
- Docker, Terraform, streaming and event drive architecture
Not looking for very specific tech, more about how fast they can learn
80% – all back-end dev, building microservices in Java or Scala or using native AWS like Lambda
20% – front-end UI – React if no react, Angular is OK
- You Must Benchmark download speeds over AWS S3 buckets and CCFS networks using Python; developing in Python
- Develop Lambda functions with ECR containers and other AWS infrastructure
- Write Terraform scripts and Jenkins pipelines
- Work on bug-fixing and development of Scala web-services with Play framework
- Work on other technologies like Kafka, Snowflake, Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.
- Design and implement frontend components, services and data pipelines
- Develop solutions that account for scalability and optimize performance
- Evaluate new technologies and build prototypes for continuous improvements
- Produce high quality production ready code in an agile environment
- Advocate programming best practices and standards
- Collaborate closely with the product team to build new features and infrastructure
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with React Framework.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS (Lambda, Kinesis, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, etc..).
- 5+ years of experience with docker containers and infrastructure as code (terraform, serverless).
- 5+ years of experience with data pipelines ETL/ELT, data streaming.
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases, noSQL, and different data formats (json, avro, parquet).
- 10+ years of Java, Python, JavaScript.
Preferred:
- Experience with kafka.
- Experience working with Scala
