Description and Activities

The work to be performed includes responsibility for managing cross functional project teams.  Projects may utilize a variety of methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and will include oversight of Client and Vendor staff.  Expectation is that the Project Managers will have skills required to manage each project through the full life cycle. Projects may range in type from pure technology, mixed technology and business, and pure business projects.

Required activities to be performed by the Service Provider staff across both roles include:

 

  • Leadership of Cross Functional Project Teams: Understanding of the project objectives and communication to the team.  Communication with clear direction, coaching, and support to project team.  Management of the day-to-day activities of the projects and associated staff. 
  • Planning and Organization: Creation of an integrated project schedule, resource planning, budget monitoring for assigned projects as required for each project.
  • Management of Project Deliverables:  Direct the creation and approval of project deliverables through the project lifecycle and project management processes. 
  • Problem Solving/Conflict Management:  Development of clear action plans with scheduled actions to resolve issues with guidance as needed from client management. 
  • Project Control:  Collection of information from multiple sources to assess project status. Uses information to evaluate impact to project deliverables (schedule, scope, budget, resources, issues, quality). 
  • Project Change Management:   Management of the project in accordance with Client project change control requirements.  Proactive facilitation of project issues and risks -  identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking in accordance with client practices.   
  • Interaction with Client Leadership:  Engage and communicate effectively to client leaders in both written and verbal formats.  
  • Financial Management – Monitor, understand and report on project level financial information.

 

Skills

  • PM experience of at least 10+ years
  • Experience with Cloud engagements
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • PMP certification
  • Must have managed Technology related projects
  • Strong knowledge of various SDLC methodologies
