· Data management – Oracle DBA with extensive familiarity with data management principles including
o Manage large Oracle database environment
o Configure and maintain database servers and processes
o Monitor system's health and performance
o Perform database backup – Recovery process
o Restore lower environment databases with Production backup
o Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
o Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
o Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
o Manage database alerts and respond to alerts
o Perform code deployment as per company defined change management process
o Synch code across all environments of databases
o Management, configuration and troubleshooting of OUD
· Support to Database specific OS configuration
o Familiarity to Unix environment to support Oracle database running in Unix environment
o Basic Unix command and parameters knowledge
· Development Support –
o Detailed knowledge of PL/SQL, packages and knowledge of Oracle programming objects
o Develop and analyze Oracle Code objects such as Stored Proc, View, Function , Trigger etc and identify defects and recommend for performance tuning
o Experience in performance tuning by suggesting index, stats, trace collection etc
· High Availability Solution Support –
o Extensive Knowledge of Real Application Cluster, Oracle Cluster, Oracle ASM instance. Knowledge should include installation, management and troubleshooting
o Knowledge of Replication Data Guard, it should include installation, configuration, management and troubleshooting
· Data Replication
o Installation, management, troubleshooting of Oracle Golden Gate 19c
· Environment Monitoring:
o To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
o Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management
o Setup alerts and set threshold to get right alerts
o Monitor environment an setup alerts through OEM
· Problem-solving skills – Oracle DBAs should be skilled creative and technical problem-solvers, able to isolate and resolve database issues in real time to maintain access and data integrity
· Communication skills
o Respond to issues in timely manner, clearly elaborate problem and propose solution
o Communicate with application teams, listen and respond to their queries and concerns
· Certification – OCP Preferred.
