Client is looking for a python developer to join an IOT analytics team to deploy to production condition monitoring analytics models to Client’s AWS platform. This role focuses on successful production deployment and production support of analytical models "crowdsourced" from a separate analytics team. Models will generally be python-based using a data science stack (numpy, keras, sklearn, pandas, plotly) with backend data stored in relational databases (Snowflake, Oracle) or retrieved from API/HTTPS requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate efficiently with data scientists and condition monitoring analysts, to understand model functions and requirements, and to validate model performance.
  • Productionizing (refactoring, hardening) of crowdsourced models may be required.
  • Ensure successful code reviews, change approvals, and production pushes.
  • Resolve incident tickets to maintain model performance and uptime.
  • Review models crowdsourced from engineering partners and data scientists.
  • Refactor code for readability, reusability, efficiency, and robustness.
  • Convert abstract models into production-ready models.
  • Collaborate with model owners to clarify model intention.
  • Write test cases to validate refactored code.
  • Participate in daily standups and sprint reveals in Scrum/Agile environment.
  • Lead model release process.
  • Primary resource for resolving support tickets for production models.
