Why is this position open? How is it impacting the business? This position will help enable principal.com and other public marketing websites for Principal. It is key to our customer first strategy. We are doing a strategic re-boot of the site so additional help is needed as we touch many of the existing pages.

Please describe the project work, and what do day-to-day responsibilities look like: The work will consist of a combination of building out enhancement directly on www.principal.com or contributing them back to our internal Drupal distribution that helps enable Principal websites globally. Day to day, the candidate would work with the rest of their team to work from a Kanban board on a variety of small and large problems to solve, some fully documented as requirements, some more open ended and will require engineering discovery. The team decides if a ticket is an individual effort or a good candidate for pairing and mobbing.

What technologies or systems will this contingent worker be utilizing? Drupal/PHP, Symfony, Front-end skills (HTML/CSS/JS)

What is the size and culture of the team? Product Team, with embedded Product Owner, Delivery Manager, UX and Engineering. Size is usually 3-6 engineers Team has autonomy on how they design solutions. Overall, very flexible environment.
