Long term contract

• Investment Management middle office Financial Engineer/Developer has experience in various technologies along with some business knowledge of investment and market risk analytics data preferred to work with the project team and business users in supporting enhancements and processing of data to be used by quantitative business analysts.
  Efforts include solving business issues technically via system development based on business needs; implementing and validating the changes; documentation; and supporting the ongoing processing initially.
• Responsibilities:

• Perform technical requirements gathering and solutioning for medium to large-scale projects
• Perform data analysis to recommend appropriate solutions
• Facilitate and drive technical solutions design
• Collaborate with business and subject matter experts
• Execute analysis and development of technical processes, procedures, data, and rules to support the technical solution
• Clearly communicate with other project technical team members to cohesively produce solutions to meet the business needs
• Provide alternatives for optimizing solution
• Develop, test, and migrate solution through environments including into production
• Document solutions developed and knowledge transfer to other team members
• Participate and/or facilitate process improvement
• Adhere to formal software development processes and procedures
• Applies knowledge to handle all but the most complex problems independently

• Mandatory Skills Description:

o Expertise with Informatica and SQL
o Experience using GIT
o Working with investments and accounting data (financial instruments such as bonds and derivatives)
o Works in an Agile development environment; experience with JIRA a plus
o Ability to work with various file formats and systems
o Candidates must combine an attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture
o Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods
o Proficient with standard documentation tools (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint document repositories
o Strong organizational and time management skills
o Desire to learn new technologies
o Individual typically has at least 5-7 years of related experience

• Nice-to-Have Skills:

o Tivoli (IBM) scheduling tool experience a big plus
o Python coding and testing skills
o AWS experience
o Experience with a business rules engine nice to have
o Experience with Investment-focused projects preferred
