Skills: -depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2, 2012 and 2016 Administration and Engine.

•           Ability to migrate legacy 2008 SQL installs to modern methods.

•           Rightsizing DBs to appropriate versions (Developer, Standard, Enterprise, etc)

•           Continuous security and maintenance of all SQL instances

•           Validation of our entire SQL environments with constructive recommendations for improvement (task automation, etc).

•           Experience with Azure SQL cloud platforms.

•           Experience Using SQL Profiler traces and other tools to find the most frequently run queries and debugging skills.

•           Expert-level knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database maintenance operations.

•           Expert in Performance tuning and query optimization using DMVs, Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

•           Proficiency authoring and analyzing T-SQL code and schema (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints).

•           Experience in troubleshooting, configuration management and experience with High Availability (HA).

•           Experience in Managing SQL database Cluster, replication & Mirroring.

•           Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and data migration scripts.

•           Strong organizational skills, good communication skills.

•           Ability to learn and adapt new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

 

SKILLS

•           Advanced hands on experience with SQL Server, Analysis Services and Microsoft cloud data platform offerings including SQL Database and SQL Datawarehouse

•           7 years of experience with data warehouse technical architectures, ETL ELT, and reporting analytic tools

•           5 years of experience designing and building data warehouse solutions

•           5 years of experience building data pipelines

•           2 years of experience with production BI implementations in the Cloud

•           Experience building Power BI, Excel, and Reporting Services dashboards and reports

•           Exceptional problem solving, technical and data analysis skills

•           Great written an d verbal communication and presentation skills

•           Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data

•           Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration

•           Experience with Data Lake infrastructure.
