- GitHub & Python Expert
Location: Groton, CT or Collegeville, PA (Current Remote till 30-Jun-2022)
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience working with GitHub and other DevOps tools
- Strong Expertise in GitHub, GitHub Actions (atleast 4+ with GitHub and 1+ with GitHub Actions)
- Git best practices – i.e. rebase, squash, bisect
- Experience migrating version control repos to GitHub
- Strong Experience in Python (Python 3.7+), automation and scripting (Atleast 2+ years with Python scripting)
- Excellent Knowledge of Linux and Shell scripting
- Experience using configuration management frameworks (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- AWS - especially Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudFormation, SQS, SAM
- Python testing tools – i.e. pytest, flake8
- Integrating with third party APIs – i.e. GitHub, Jira, Cloudflare
- AWS Chalice framework
- Docker
Responsibilities:
- Migrate multiple version control repository from different VC tools to GitHub
- Automate the migration of VC repos
- Document best practice of using GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Integrate GitHub with different DevOps tools
- Assisting Project teams to onboard on GitHub platform and setup CI pipeline for them
- Develop automation scripts using python, Shell
- Use the GitHub API to capture different events and audit data and develop reports on them in AWS environment
