Responsibilities
• Recommend Standards: Define data modeling standard for environments (OLTP/OLAP), best practices, and standards for naming, security, and lifecycle. Make recommendations for standardization and data usage - champion the usage of business data and communicate the benefits and return on investment for application and product owners.
• Create current state and  future state Conceptual Data Model
• Identify/Map Business Needs: identify areas where data can be used to improve business activities, defining business users’ requirements.
• Create Data Models and build mapping specifications: Create optimal physical data models of datasets, then create and maintain data maps and systems interrelationship diagrams for data domains and systems. The implementation and design need to be optimized for Cloud solutions like Azure Synapse, Salesforce CRM etc.
Skillset
• Expertise in data modeling principles/methods including conceptual, logical & physical Data Models
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
• Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Experience working with Transactional and Dimensionally modeled data
• Experience in translating/mapping relational data models into target Schemas for consumption
• Azure experience/skills preferred
