JOB DETAIL

1. BRD assessment / evaluation / feedback (if applicable) 

2. High level solution / design (big picture, design for future) 

3. Performing Analysis 

4. Completing all required SA deliverables for the project 

5. Follow SA process and checklists 

6. Support throughout the entire SDLC process (DEV, PV, UAT) until validation completed in production 

7. Review all project deliverables from other areas (DEV, PV, UAT) and provide feedback 

a. Examples: Deployment guide, Test Plan/Approach for all environments and Test Scenarios 

8. Data profiling 

9. Validations in PLT / PROD 

10. Attending all the project meetings 

11. SME knowledge on project 

12. Planning and estimating for future releases while supporting past releases and delivering on work for current release 

13. Roadmap involvement 

14. Assessments of project scope and timelines 

15. Involved in the intake of the requirements to ensure that the requirements are feasible given the company’s technology stack 

16. Gaps are highlighted and filled if possible 

17. Translate requirements into technical documents which describe what the development team is expected to build 

18. Troubleshoot issues when they arise. In situations where old tickets are being analyzed the SA is expected to be capable of presenting a clear and concise analysis of the issue with examples that support the analysis. Expected to propose solutions to the issues 

19. Generally the SA is involved in building applications on top of a given technology stack. However, there are projects which involve upgrading or changing the technology stack which have a heavy involvement of the SA group 

  

Requirements: 

Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience with the following: 

1. Working in the following areas: 

a. Data Warehousing and ETL 

b. Data Marts 

c. Data Profiling 

d. Data Modeling 

e. Data Quality Analysis 

2. Modeling Dimensional Databases and Data Marts (includes physical and logical models) 

3. Writing complex SQL and stored procedures (DB2 preferred); translating specifications and rules into SQL 

4. Working with data modeling tools (Erwin preferred) 

5. Interpreting and writing source to target mappings (ETL transformation rules) 

6. Working with string and data manipulation functions and macros with Microsoft Excel 

7. Metadata management and data governance 

8. Creating and maintaining data dictionaries 

9. Maintaining and interpreting data lineages 

10. Ability to speak to the various aspect of the SDLC 

11. Ability to draw out high-level and detailed designs and represent them as flow diagrams (preferably using Visio) 

12. Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications 

13. Ability to look at the given system/solution from a tool/technology-agnostic perspective and document deterministic rules / behavior in pseudo-code 

14. Ability to design end-to-end data warehousing / reporting solutions using components like databases, ETL tools and reporting frameworks 

15. Ability to provide time estimations for SA activities for a project based on the design 

16. Ability to work closely with Development, PV and UAT teams to provide them the required support 

17. Ability to perform and provide a detailed system impact analysis for a given change request and provide estimates 

18. Able to lead junior SA persons and possibly provide feedback on multiple projects
