Role : Devops Engineer
Location : Chicago, IL/ Jersey City, NJ/ Tampa, FL (Local Candidates) – No Remote Work.
Job Description:
You will be carrying out functions of a Release and Change manager. You will be heavily involved in enhancing current testing and deployment processes and automating them. You will be driving and implementing infrastructure upgrade, certificate renewals, resiliency resolutions of issues and follow up to prevent future issues. You will need a kaizen mindset, constantly identifying opportunities for change and improvement.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/ BA degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and hands on experience in SDLC process
- Experience in release and change management process (ITIL)
- Experience working in agile environment and good knowledge of agile methodologies
- Good knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies, and use of key-based authentication
- Experience in data storage and movement solutions (Cassandra, Oracle DB, Mongo)
- Expertise in modern DEVOPS stack, for example: Git/ Jenkins/ Bamboo/ Maven/ Gradle/ Jmeter and ability to troubleshoot its processes
- Good knowledge of scripting languages: UNIX Shell, Groovy and Python are a plus
- Proficiency in Java
- Working knowledge of log analysis and monitoring tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, Netcool, Tivoli, Prometheus, Grafona
- Working knowledge of Release Management process (good to have: Service Now/Jira/Confluence/
- Hands on experience with container technology using Kubernetes, Docker desired; AWVS, Azure experience is o plus
