The ideal person for this role will be at the center of analytical prowess, problem solving and management consulting. We are looking for all-rounders who can think out of the box on daily basis and can help solve business problems with the help of data. Majority of the role will involve problem understanding, data acquisition, data understanding, model development, model operationalization, stakeholder management and consulting.

Responsibilities

·         Understand business problems and translate them to analytical problems

·         Understand and manipulate large volumes of raw data into actionable insights

·         Able to quickly experiment and identify hidden relationship among the data sources

·         Identify new potential business opportunities while working on the project

·         Build best in class solutions leveraging advanced machine learning and statistical algorithms

·         Able to simplify and present the analytical insights to project stakeholders with analytical and non-analytical backgrounds

·         Heavily focused on key development in the analytics research field and able to experiment and implement them in real project scenarios

·         Able to take the ownership of multiple projects end to end without external supervision

·         Manage projects plans and timelines to ensure that projects are delivered with the highest quality and on time

·         Able to quantify the actual impacts of the projects delivered

·         Build Data products in collaboration with other areas such as Visualization, Data Engineering, and IT

Required Skills and Experience

·         Expertise in statistical modeling techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, generalized linear models, SVM, ensemble model (Random Forest, Xgboost), cluster analysis, PCA

·         Expertise in the end-to-end model developments process

·         Expertise in Hypothesis Testing and AB testing – design of experiments

·         Experience in solving business problems with advanced analytical solutions

·         Experience in putting the statistical models into production and measure the impact

·         Experience in working with structured data as well as unstructured data sources

·         Strong Programming experience with SQL and Python/R and libraries like NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, TensorFlow etc.

·         Well-developed written and oral communication skills, with ability to present and explain data to business managers, with fluency in Microsoft business applications (Word/PowerPoint/Excel)

·         Financial services/ Asset Management experience is a plus

·         Familiarity with Data Robot is a plus

Qualifications

·         5+ years of experience in advanced analytics / Data Science in consulting space or with reputed organizations

·         Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline.

·         Proven experience with building and deploying machine learning models in a commercial setting.
