Position : NoSQL DBA
Location : Remote

Project Description:
The animation studio is looking for a NoSQL DBA who will work with our existing DBAs, providing support for development and production databases. We are looking for a candidate who can provide operations and development support in a heterogeneous environment made up
primarily of Cassandra, Couchbase, Elastic Search, Kafka and Redis.
The candidate should be able to provide operational support for the existing NoSQL environments plus help develop and architect solutions leveraging Cassandra, Couchbase, ElasticSearch, Kafka and Redis. This role would also require the candidate to be part of the on-call rotation.
· Responsibilities:
● Help define and implement best practices for support and maintenance of various NoSQL technologies.
● Provide On-Call support for NoSQL database platforms at the studio.
● Work closely with R&D teams to effect optimum data models and scalable designs in the
NoSQL space.
● Maintain uptime, consistency, scalability and performance while meeting business needs
and working effectively with the Database Administration team.
● Provide daily technical administration and support, including change management requests,
monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
· Mandatory Skills Description:
● 2+ years experience as a full-time engineer in a 24x7 environment supporting NoSQL
Databases.
● 2+ years of experience in DevOps, System Operations or System Engineering.
● Experience with data modeling best practices for Cassandra or other NoSQL platforms.
● Experience tuning and troubleshooting JVMs.
● Excellent communication skills - must be comfortable working with end-users throughout
the organization
● Comfortable working with Python or some other glue language.
· Nice-to-Have Skills:
● Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
● Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
