- Candidate would be part of Fixed Income Application Support team.
- The Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for supporting Trading Systems development initiatives. Current business units covered include Fixed Income – Rates, Credit and Munis.
- The QA Tester will work closely with an assigned development team to provide support and execution of test scenarios on a variety of projects and technologies
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Development Teams (internal and vendor), Team Lead, QA Manager and Product Managers to understand change in application systems
- Analyse and breakdown the change to functional components to be documented as Test Requirements in JIRA with attention to detail of paramount importance
- Establish test objectives, based on test requirements
- Utilize testing techniques to design effective and efficient test cases with distinctive steps and definitive expected results in JIRA covering pricing, offering, quoting, etrading, post trade and supporting compliance as and when necessary
- Organize test sets to form specific business end to end work flows as well as specific technical scenarios that has higher likelihood to reveal system technical issues
- Organize test case review sessions to ensure testing standards are adhered to
- Participate in test coverage review meetings to ensure adequate test coverage of all subject test requirements
- Log reproducible defects in JIRA with linked fail test case
- Assist Product Managers to reproduce / investigate production issues in QA/UAT system for emergency fixes
- Assist in FINRA/SEC mandated testing and document all results
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of 8+ years of quality assurance testing experience. Computer Science/Engineering background preferred.
- Significant QA testing experience across front, middle and back office applications
- Solid exposure to trading platforms – ION and Bloomberg TOMS
- Working knowledge of Capital Markets, especially Fixed Income Rates and Credit trading.
- Basic knowledge of Derivatives is a minimum.
- In depth knowledge of software QA principles, processes and testing techniques
- Solid knowledge in general computing, Agile concepts and development methodologies
- Knowledge in Test Automation is a plus
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
