Job Description: The Network Engineer ensures the Company’s enterprise voice and data networks are reliable and secure through proper planning, design, implementation, and maintenance. Provides a high-level of customer service to vendors and business organizations. Performs a variety of tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
Additional Certifications Needed: CCNA would be helpful

Onsite? Onsite from day 1, equipment they need to configure and touch,

1000 routers deploying to stores

Contract to Hire? Yes - Conversion Salary -  100k for base plus 15% bonus potential

Must haves: cellular expertise, Solarwinds experience,  ubiquity expertise (larger scale environment)

Firewall: Palo alto and Cisco (5% of the job)

The Network Engineer ensures the Company’s enterprise voice and data networks are reliable and secure through proper planning, design, implementation, and maintenance.  Provides a high-level of customer service to vendors and business organizations.  Performs a variety of tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.

1.  Designs, installs, and maintains network infrastructure equipment including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless, VPN, IP telephony systems (including IVR/ACD), Load Balancers, & WAN Optimizers.

Qualifications - External

1.  Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or related field and/or 3 – 5 years of experience in a large-scale enterprise environment required.

2.  CCNA or CCNP certifications preferred.

3.  Advanced knowledge of network hardware, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers & access points; F5 load balancers; And Riverbed WAN optimizers required.

4.  Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP and various routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP required.

5.  Thorough knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications preferred

6.  Experience working with enterprise monitoring and performance tools preferred.

7.  Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
