Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and solution architecture team to understand the Data Architecture requirements and architect end to end solution
  • Translate the business requirements into an integration and dimensional design strategy for the application /data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives
  • Partner with IT application owners and appropriate resources to find the best way to acquire data from source systems and feed them into the data warehouse/ downstream data sinks
  • Perform detailed analysis of the source data and design the data extraction and data quality framework implementation strategy
  • Participate and provide input for Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) strategies in partnership with the ETL Developer
  • Work with business and power users to identify the access patterns and reporting requirements and design solutions accordingly
  • Assist in declaring the grain of data in fact tables, identifying metrics and dimensions and understands Slowly Changing Dimensions
  • Work very well with the Business Analyst and the ETL Developer throughout the lifecycle of the project
